A New Orleans LA native, temporarily transplanted in Charleston SC. Mother of 3, sister, daughter, friend and mentor, as well as US Air Force veteran.
Her first book, an autobiography entitled, “The Making of a Woman” , its a story of a difficult journey of self acceptance, and self discovery. This is not just a book but a source of healing for myself, and other's.
Survivor of assault, domestic violence (emotional and physical), divorce, single motherhood, challenged with raising a defiant child, while dealing with the realness of PTSD and Bipolar Disorder. Through her many challenges, her village of women, faith in God, as well as faith in herself, enabled her to become not just a survivor but an Over comer.
Her story maybe one of controversy, as it is a raw, real an the unapologetic truth of Her life. It is not written as a source of instigation, but rather, a way to arrest my audience, it’s a way to plant a little bit of desire in your hearts to survive and conquer your demons. I want you to yearn to turn the page and learn more about my journey. Ultimately, it’s about the untold story of Le'Erica Richards.
